Habin Kim is an LA-based lyric coloratura soprano currently pursuing her Master of Music at the University of California, Los Angeles, Herb Alpert School of Music.

In March 2025, she portrayed Rebecca, the youngest daughter of the Shimono family, in the world premiere of The Camp at the Aratani Theatre. Broadway World described her voice as "equal parts piercing and elegant, the perfect voicing for the Shimono family's younger daughter," while Stage Raw noted her performance as "a standout both vocally and dramatically, bringing grit and humor to a family in turmoil."

The previous month, she won the UCLA All-Stars Competition and performed Mozart’s K. 165, Movements II and III with the UCLA Philharmonia.

In July 2024, Habin made her professional debut with Long Beach Opera in the live staging premiere of Pauline Oliveros' Bye Bye Butterfly, directed by McCall Cadenas. This production marked the first-ever live staging of Oliveros' operatic work, closing LBO's 2023-24 season.

During the 2023-24 season at UCLA, Habin won second place in the Guild Opera Company Competition and participated in the Opera Scenes program under the direction of Peter Kazaras. She performed roles such as Susanna from Le Nozze di Figaro, Pamina from Die Zauberflöte, and Soeur Constance from Dialogues des Carmélites. That season, she also showcased her stage presence and vocal ability as Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, directed by James Darrah, delivering an emotionally charged performance.

Among her notable performances, she took on the comedic lead role of Thérèse in Poulenc's surreal opera Les mamelles de Tirésias, directed by Alison Moritz. Her witty and energetic portrayal captured Thérèse's impulsive personality and drive, allowing her to demonstrate her agile vocal flexibility. Her nuanced performance, marked by precise control, dynamic range, and the ability to convey complex emotions, established her as a standout performer.
